How you can support Full Bellies
Every person has the chance to make a change for good — no matter how big or small. Whatever amount you can give, or time you are willing to dedicate, know that your contribution makes a difference in the lives of others. Your donation, together with those of our other supporters, brings us ever closer to our goals of reducing child poverty.

Food sponsorship
Food sponsorship is a great way to support Full Bellies.
Here’s some examples…
Mike Greer Commercial purchased $1500 of groceries for Full Bellies, and had them delivered to our headquarters. This was an awesome way to show support as we were able to let them know what we needed for lunches, and they came through!
Tip Top are another amazing Full Bellies partner; they sponsor all of our bread rolls for the kids’ lunches. This is immensely helpful as it brings our costs right down and means the tamariki will always have nutritious filled rolls in their lunches.
If you’re interested in sponsoring food for Full Bellies, please don’t hesitate to get in contact.
Food donation
Donating food is another immensely helpful way you can show your support.
Here’s some examples…
Pavillion Foods donates food to Full Bellies fortnightly, and in March 2025, they donated 100 delicious pizzas for the tamariki to enjoy!
Original foods also donate food fortnightly, and their slabs of baking are a great addition to the kids’ lunches!
Goodman Fielder donated three pallets of milk product in early 2025 that allowed a great bit of protein to be added to the lunches.
Please contact us for more details if you’re interested in donating food!
Fundraising
Holding fundraising events or campaigns on behalf of Full Bellies is also a great way to show support.
Here’s some examples:
TK Plastering held a golf day fundraiser in early 2025 which raised $10,000 for our cause!
In 2024, Matt Highstead walked the length of New Zealand via the Te Araroa trail to raise money for Full Bellies. What a commitment!
On July 5th, 2025, Corban Harding will be running for 24 hours straight at South Hagley Park to raise money for Full Bellies. This is another example of an astonishing commitment to our cause by people in the Christchurch community.
Baking
We love to include home baking in our lunches so our tamariki can enjoy food made with love.
An awesome way some decide to support Full Bellies is by holding a baking day, or a bake-off! This is a really fun way to get your whole team or group involved in supporting our cause.
We appreciate any amount of baking, so if you’re an individual with a few spare hours and ingredients, this is a great way to show your support!
