We help families in need by providing children with nutritional food delivered into schools.
We believe every child deserves to be empowered to reach their full potential, by providing our food bags, we are breaking down barriers in our community.

What we do
As a charity, we are front-footing the issue on our doorstep by being the answer and being the sunshine to these children and families.
Our purpose is to alleviate the embarrassment of hunger for parents and children, by providing food in schools to children and families that are identified as needing a helping hand and do not currently receive Government funding. What makes us different is the food delivered to schools covers a full day of nutrition (morning tea, fruit break, lunch, and a little something for after school). Our lunch bags are Kiwi kids orientated- a good old favorite of a meat and salad bread roll, fruit, and milk, topped with a lot of delicious home baking. Bags are delivered to our schools by 7:45 am to ensure they are waiting for our superhero children to collect from the office on their way to class, this allows respect and dignity to be upheld as tamariki are not pulled out of class or isolated in any way. Currently, we are partnered with 19 schools and are producing 1072 bags per week.
The main outcome we want to achieve is to eliminate the impact of hunger on children's ability to learn, participate and engage fully in their learning experience at primary school.
If we can remove the question of "should I eat it or save it" for these children, then the barrier of a hungry tummy can stop impeding their school experience. To get tamariki back through the school gates is our number 1 priority.
Our impact goes beyond providing food, we have fostered a strong sense of community in our volunteer village where our members feel valued and empowered that they are making a difference. We have 150 volunteers in the Full Bellies operation ranging from 12-year-old bakers to CEOs delivering our bags prior to work, to senior citizens in a retirement village baking together. Feeling the empathy and the kindness that pours into our headquarters each day is both overwhelming and amazing!
